Radichetta Lettuce Seeds / Moroccan Watercress  

If the historical origin of Lactuca sativa is Morocco, it is sometimes called Cressonnette du Maroc and its name, Radichetta, comes from Italy. It's an easy-to-grow salad that's perfect for novice gardeners.  

The seeds, in a 1 gram bag, are sown in a cup or plate, at a temperature between 10 and 18 ° C, or even in the ground. In the latter case, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil that you will lightly compact and water.
The ideal sowing period is from February to May under shelter and from March to September, in the ground.  

You can transplant when the plants have 4 leaves and sow clear to better stagger the harvests. We sow clear in rows 30 cm apart, every 15 days. By lightening regularly to 10 then 30 cm, you will obtain beautiful salads of 20 to 25cm, with bright green foliage, fine texture and delicate flavor.  

This lettuce likes well-drained and humid soils with a semi-shaded to sunny exposure.  

The harvest of Moroccan watercress Radichetta is spread from April to November.
