A vinometer allows you to determine the degree of alcohol in wine and any liquid, even sweet ones up to 20% alcohol volume.
USE
Pour the alcoholic liquid to be measured into the funnel and fill it to the top. Allow a few drops to spill onto the other side of the shaft so that the air it contains will be removed. Turn the vinometer over and place it on a flat, smooth surface (worktop, sink top…). The wine or other alcohol present in the vinometer´s funnel will drain out and the liquid in the shaft will descend until it stabilises at a certain level. As it is graduated, you can read the alcohol level of the liquid indicated on the graduation at the precise place at which the liquid stabilised.
