Parsnip Seeds Turga

Turga parsnip seeds.
This variety is an improvement of the Guernsey parsnip.
Turga Parsnip produces smooth white roots that can grow up to 30cm in length. They give a pleasant scent to soups. Its leaves are also edible.  

Sowing in the ground: February-March-April-May-June.
Sowing aid: direct sowing from February to June, in rows 30 to 40 cm apart. Cover the seeds then tamp.  

Growing aid: thin out when the plants have 4 to 5 leaves at 15 cm in the row.  

Harvest: January-February-March-July-August-September-October-November-December.
Harvesting aid: harvest 5 months after sowing. Parsnip is very resistant to cold and can therefore spend the winter in the garden: the frosts will even bring sweetness and flavors to the roots.  

Tips: sunny exposure, average water requirement.
