Barbentane eggplant seeds

Barbentane eggplant seeds.
Eggplant of very old variety native to France, cultivated in the south of France since the XIXth century.
This rustic variety produces elongated fruits, from 15 to 20 cm, of a shiny dark purple color and of a very tasty fine flesh.  

Sowing (under cover): February-March-April
Sowing aid: sowing in buckets under shelter from March to April.  

Growing aid: transplant at the end of May in cool, deep soil rich in humus. Keep the feet 50 cm apart.  

Harvest: July-August-September-October
Harvesting aid: harvest the fruits a little before maturity at the end of July, by cutting 2 cm from the peduncle. To be consumed quickly after harvest.  

Tips: water and prune like tomatoes, requires a lot of heat to germinate.  

Package of 0.15 gram (about 60 seeds).
