Oil density metre

This density metre lets you calculate the weight of your oil per litre and determine how pure it is.
One litre of pure olive oil weighs around 920 g. (density of 0.920).
A tiny amount of water is always present. If your density is close to that of water, and is between 0.920 and 1, this means that your olive oil is not pure and contains a lot of water.
The reading is taken by plunging the density metre into the oil and reading the level indicated at the oil level.
